Macandrew Bay School makes history with first ever Year 4 sleepover!
Our Year 4's stayed at school for a sleepover! The anticipation and excitement had been high and the tamariki were super happy the day had arrived.
The afternoon started with a bake off! The tamariki brought to school some delicious baking that was judged by Emma from the Duck! Emma had a very tough job but Florida was crowned Tūī and Kererū baker for 2025.
We had delicious pizza for tea and the children were treated to a sundae bar! Sprinkles, chocolate sauce, gummy bears and more...
The children were then given the challenge to create an outfit for their special teddy bears. The designs were spectacular and the standard was high! The Macandrew Bay School version of WOW! We had a fashion show where personalities shone, the clapping was loud and the tamariki had fun walking the cat walk - the teachers included!
It was time to organise our beds and snuggle on down with a movie. The children enjoyed watching The Wild Robot which we have been reading in class.
We were super impressed with the behaviour, Growth Mindset and the fun the tamariki brought to the sleepover.
We are super proud of our Year 4s - it was a fun night had by all!!
