Lit Quiz Competition

On Wednesday we had the grand final of the Lit Quiz competition that has been running during Library time this term for the Year 5 and 6 classes

The three top teams in each class answered six rounds of ten questions in order to become Lit Quiz champions. Congratulations go to Mushrooms for first place (by one point), closely followed by Lost Cows for second and then Cheetahs for third place.

Wednesday afternoon was full of fun, with questions around all kinds of reading.   From superheroes to greek myths, from classics to nursery rhymes and a walloping dose of contemporary children's fiction, six teams searched their knowledge to try and take out the top title of Lit Quiz Winner 2023.   The audience were included with questions being given to them while Mr D and Mrs Ward marked and entered totals into the score board.    It was a tight run race.   

A huge thanks goes to Paper Plus for giving us lots of goodies to give out to all the children, and to the University Bookshop for vouchers for the first place team.   Without the prizes of drink bottles, books, vouchers and LOTS of chocolates it wouldn't be quite as much fun.  Everyone went away happy.
