Whakarangatira

On Wednesday Whakarangatira started for Term 2! What an afternoon filled with so many engaging and exciting workshops.

We are so lucky at Macandrew Bay School to have many passionate parents and volunteers from our community to support our Whakarangatira programme.

This week we had Clement (Tom's Dad) run a workshop around freshwater fish. He brought in eels, crayfish and galaxids! The children learnt lots of facts about these freshwater creatures and did many exciting craft activities.

It was lovely to see Year 6's again taking a leadership role in the afternoon with providing workshops on touch rugby and history!

The children explored mindfulness, stitching, miniball, the digital tool Tinkercad and many more exciting activities.

This is a great way for us to collaborate as a senior team and for the children to be enriched with a variety of new learning.

Nau mai, haere mai

We are welcoming new enrolments

Come and find out what makes our school so special.
